What is Exploring?
Exploring Posts are work-site based clubs for high school age men and women. Each post has a career focus and provides youth with the opportunity to explore the requirements of a career through hands and activities.
A business or organizations, whose members provide professional guidance and advise the youth participants, sponsors each Explorer Post.
Exploring provides a fun way to learn about a career, develop leadership skills and participate in character building activities. Through resources provided to Post sponsors, Learning for Life assists posts to offer a program that enables youth to:
- Explore career opportunities
- Develop life skills
- Give back to the community through service projects
- Make ethical choices
- Acquire leadership skills
How does a group go about becoming a sponsor to a career Exploring Post?
The process is simple. The first steps include:
- Complete a group participation form
- Identify 4 adults who will be involved in the post
- Identify a minimum of 5 youth

Once these steps are completed, we will help you with planning, training, and implementation. |
